Area: Midstream Ridge Estate, Midrand.
A large open-plan kitchen built around a sculptural, angled island with a built-in hob at one end and bar seating along the other, so cooking and entertaining happen in the same space. The island and kitchen worktops are porcelain.
The cabinetry is Seno Cashmere acrylic matt, a soft warm neutral, with Cashmere edging throughout. The doors and drawers open with Blum Tip-on push-to-open mechanisms and Blum Movento runners with Blumotion, so the fronts stay handleless, while brushed brass T-strip and edge handles add a warm accent where a handle is needed. The tall units are built around the client’s own Smeg appliances: black ovens, a warmer drawer, a microwave and an integrated fridge and freezer.
Above the counters, bronze-tinted glass display cabinets in Alutec bronze frames open on Blum Aventos HK-Top lift-up fittings and are lit with recessed LED strip lights. A floor-to-ceiling glass wine wall sits right next to the kitchen.
The butler’s kitchen carries on in the same Cashmere finish, with Dusty Stone quartz worktops and splashback cladding, a black undermount sink with a brass tap, brushed brass edge handles, a Blum pull-out bin and a spice pull-out. The same Cashmere finish runs through the laundry, pantry and braai area too. Everything was designed, cut and edged in our own factory and installed by the ProReno team.
